Hershey is the defender of the household.  Part Chow and part Labrador.  Hershey is protective of everyone in the house.  No stranger is trusted until she had had enough time to get comfortable with them.  This often gives people the wrong impression as Hershey is quite affectionate and loving.

No bird will ever invade the yard so long as Hershey stands guard!  Ever watchful, Hershey's favorite spot is sitting on the bay window keeping watch on the backyard.  A variety of birds, chipmunks, rabbits and squirrels keeps her on the move.  She hasn't caught one yet ... but I know she's just fine tuning her hunting skills.  She especially wants that crazy chipmunk who loves to taunt her while she sits in the window.

Hershey's best friend is Jordan.  The two are inseparable.  When Jordan barks at something, Hershey is by his side in an instant.  Combined they are the perfect home defense.  If an intruder wasn't discouraged by Jordan's barking, Hershey would certainly finish the job.  Jordan sleeps in the bedroom.  Hershey prefers the hallway where she can stand guard over all.  We sleep more soundly knowing the both of them are here.
